106 VirtualReScan (VRS) User’s Guide
VRS Desktop Productivity Profiles
While any VRS Desktop Productivity add-in is activated, you can scan documents
using one of the six preset Desktop Productivity profiles. These profiles provide
excellent results across a wide range of documents, without the need for additional
image quality adjustments.
Important The scan profiles for the Desktop Productivity features are not the same as
the profiles used with the “core” VRS product. The Desktop Productivity profiles are
available only if you have activated the VRS Desktop Productivity features.
Each Desktop Productivity profile consists of a saved combination of settings based
on the selections in the VRS Professional Scan window, along with other settings.
A Desktop Productivity profile contains scanner settings and file name options, which
you can save and name. When you use VRS Desktop Productivity features, the most
recently used profile is applied until you select another one.
You can use the Scanner Settings and File Options on the VRS Professional Scan
window to set up custom Desktop Productivity profiles. You can establish multiple
profiles to accommodate different scanning situations.
Note The six default Desktop Productivity profiles cannot be modified or removed. If
desired, you can create a new profile based on one of the standard profiles and then
save it under a new name.
Standard VRS Desktop Productivity Profile Settings
Six preset VRS Desktop Productivity scan profiles are available when you activate the
VRS Desktop Productivity features. If desired, you can also create your own profile
and apply custom settings. The standard profiles cannot be changed or removed. The
name of each profile (listed in the following table) describes its purpose.
