116 VirtualReScan (VRS) User’s Guide

VRS Professional Scan

The VRS Professional Scan window serves as a single-screen scanning application

with options to configure scan settings or launch a scanning operation. The VRS

Professional Scan window is available when you select the Configure option from any

of the following:

 Microsoft Outlook email message

 Lotus Notes email message

 Windows Desktop context menu

 Windows Explorer context menu

The settings that you configure from the VRS Professional Scan window are applied

when you select the Fast Scan, Scan with Preview, or Scan Using Profile options from

any application in the preceding list.

Profiles: Select the scan profile that is most appropriate for the document type

that you plan to scan. For more information, see VRS Desktop Productivity Profiles on

page 106.

File Name: Type a file name for the attachment or file in which your scanned

document will be saved. Use the currently listed name or enter another name. The

current name corresponds to the name that was applied to the most recently scanned

document. For more information, see File Name Formatting on page 118.
