VirtualReScan (VRS) User’s Guide

A message is displayed at the bottom of the window to confirm successful

activation or deactivation.

Note If you attempt to activate or deactivate add-ins associated with an

application currently in use, VRS prompts you to Retry, Ignore (the active

application) or Cancel. In this situation, close the affected application and

then click Retry to proceed.

Scanning from Microsoft Outlook 2007

The VRS Desktop Productivity add-in for Microsoft Outlook 2007 gives you the

ability to scan and attach a document directly into an email message as you compose

it. Once the add-in is activated, a VRS Scan tab is available from the ribbon when you

create or open an email message.

From the VRS Scan tab, the following scanning options are available:

 Fast Scan: Quickly scan and attach a document to your email message using

default settings

 Scan with Preview: Scan and preview the results before attaching a document

to your email message

 Configure: Configure settings, scan, and optionally preview the results before

attaching a document to your email message

The VRS Scan tab also lists the active scan profile and the file name that will be

assigned to the email attachment.
